Terms of Service

1. The service

GroupToIt helps groups plan trips and events: vote on dates, propose accommodation, build budgets, and collect contributions from members via Stripe. The organiser of an event is the merchant of record for contributions collected through their event.

2. Your account

You must be 18+ to create an event and collect funds. Keep your login credentials secure.

3. Fees

GroupToIt charges a 2% service fee plus 10% GST on the fee (2.2% all-in) on each member contribution. The fee is added to the member's required share at checkout and clearly itemised on the receipt. Stripe processing fees are paid by the organiser from the net amount.

4. Organiser obligations

• You agree that you are collecting funds from members on a good-faith basis to cover real, agreed costs.
• You will use collected funds for the stated event purpose.
• You are responsible for any tax obligations on funds you receive.
• You will honour reasonable refund requests where the event is cancelled or a member withdraws before lock-in.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use GroupToIt for fraud, money laundering, prohibited goods, or anything illegal under Australian law or Stripe's restricted businesses list.

6. Suspension

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or pose risk to other users or the platform.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, GroupToIt is provided "as is". Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
